How to enable or disable auto-hide on the Mac OS X dock

Description: This is a how-to article for Mac OS X on the topic of enabling or disabling the auto-hide feature on the Dock.
  1. Close any open programs on the Mac
  2. Click on the Apple Icon in the top left corner of the screen, then choose System Preferences

  3. On the new System Preferences window, select Dock

  4. On the Dock window, check or uncheck the "Automatically hide and show the Dock" option to your preference.

  5. The setting is automatically saved. Close the window to complete the walkthrough.

How to temporarily disable Antivirus and Antispyware in ESET NOD32 version 5

ESET NOD32 Antivirus and Antispyware can on occasion interfere with certain activities. This guide will walk you through how to temporarily disable Antivirus and Antispyware in ESET NOD32.
  1. Open the ESET software by clicking Start » All Programs » ESET Folder » ESET NOD32 Antivirus folder » ESET NOD32 Antivirus.

    Open the ESET software

  2. Click Setup on the left.

  3. Click on the Enabled link for Real-time File system protection.

  4. Click on the drop down arrow key for Time Interval, select "Until next restart".

  5. Click on Ok, and close the ESET window. ESET is now disabled until the computer is restarted, allowing you to continue with your activity.
