With Flash becoming outdated and no longer used by many websites, the newest form is what is called HTML5. Though HTML5 hasn't been officially used on all websites or released, YouTube has given the option to test it out via a trial version. By turning this on, you will notice faster load times with streaming YouTube videos and also a glimpse at what is to come in the near future.
- First open a web browser and enter in the following address into the
address bar at the top left of the browser:
www.youtube.com/html5
- This will be the page that will come up, as shown
below it states that HTML5 is not yet turned on. There is a simple link at the bottom showing "Join the HTML5 Trial". Simply click the link.
- The page will refresh and the link will be replaced with what's shown
below. Now open a video on YouTube and enjoy HTML5!
